| Description | : | Another classic sign of acute mastoiditis is an edematous sagging of the posterosuperior wall of the cartilaginous meatus.
This is due either to soft tissue edema adjacent to the mastoid abscess, or to a direct subcutaneous extension of the abscess along the posterior ear canal. |
