GLOMUS TUMORS
INTRODUCTION 2

Description : Paragangliomas or glomus tumors are usually benign tumors that arise from the glomus bodies. These tumors( should no longer be called chemodectomas since they not secrete adrenalin and do not display chromaffin when stained. Paragangliomas occur more commonly in women (70%), and have a peak incidence in the third, fourth, and fifth decades of life.
