| Description | : | These two syringes contained fluid aspirated from the ears of a patient who developed a bilateral hemotympanum from flying while having a severe upper respiratory infection.
Fluid in the uppermost syringe has a muddy brown color, whereas the fluid in the lower syringe is reddish and obviously contains fresher blood. |
